Hello! This is all going to be pure speculation based on all of the canon content that we have received from Honeyworks. Each section will be labelled as such.
Also, there WILL BE SPOILERS for the movie and novels so if you want to avoid those, we would recommend scrolling past those.
We are just simple fans and just want to spread the love of these two idiots (affectionate) and spread the love of this ship!
Be warned that though all of what is here is official content, there's no actual set in stone timeline and everything is mostly all over the place. Much of this won't be necessarily proving Aiyuu as canon in a certain time, but proving that Honeyworks does want them to be a pair and that ultimately they are endgame.Sit back and enjoy~!P.s. Romeo Novel

First things first. The Romeo novel was released in December of 2020, and is based on their MV of the same title Romeo and diving deeper into their backstory. It shows us how their relationship was before they became well-known, and what happened during and after production of the MV.

Romeo Novel

In Chapter 1, we get treated to Aizou admitting that he's consistently called Yujiro "not cute" whenever he does something he deems irritating. There are a load of insults, but that's what he turns to? (I want to note that Aizou does this a lot)
In Chapter 2, it is revealed to us that Aizou took solace in staying at a musical instrument store, and was given a place to stay. One day, Yujiro came by the store, and Aizou showed Yujiro his secret room, and even allowed him to stay and come over whenever he wanted. He thinks to himself how he didn't mind, despite this being his only safe space.
In Chapter 3, Aizou is out and about, and spots Yujiro leaving the kabuki theater, and decides to follow him. This results in him being caught and ending up watching him practice kabuki for over 2 hours, before the two of them go to the park and eat crepes together

Romeo Novel

In Chapter 4, there is a pool party live show that Aizou and Yujiro attend to. While waiting, Yujiro swims around, while Aizou stands tensely nearby. An unnamed person ends up shoving Aizou into the pool for no real reason, and Yujiro immediately gets out of the pool and starts yelling at the pool bully to apologize, and ends up muttering how he's in a rotten mood. Afterwards, he teaches Aizou how to swim
In Chapter 5, the two are taken under the wing of two idol senpais, and watch them work near an aquarium, which Yujiro decides to attend to. Aizou follows him the entire time. Eventually, Yujiro notices the aquarium is hosting a rock-paper-scissors tournament, and the winner gets a big stuffed penguin. He gets excited, and drags Aizou to play. Yujiro loses in the second round, and Aizou ends up winning. However, Aizou sees how disappointed Yujiro is, and gives him the stuffed penguin, and his face softens when he sees how happy Yujiro is. The two afterwards are much more in sync than before.
Chapter 7 is briefly in Yujiro's point of view, where he laments how he's always alone, but Aizou is always there to be with him, no matter what. Aizou also, multiple times, walks by Yujiro's side or asks him if he can walk with him, and Yujiro consistently holds back a smile.

Romeo Novel

In Chapter 8, the two boys are rehearsing for the Romeo MV, and practiced the in-scene sword fighting with rolled up magazines. They ended up actually chasing each other around for 2 full hours. Also, later in the chapter, when Yujiro says he's thinking about attending Sakuragaoka High, Aizou gets very tense and complains that he doesn't want to go there. Yujiro reminds him that he doesn't have to, but he wants to go to the same high school as Yujiro. Finally, in this chapter, Aizou and Yujiro are walking around, and spot Ken and Arisa, and Aizou immediately gets depressed, and thinks "there's no magic that makes people smile". However, Yujiro gets his attention and makes a face at him, and Aizou cheers up, and it ends with Aizou thinking "there's always magic that makes people smile"
Chapter 9 has the two actually recording the Romeo MV, where Aizou, whenever they're free, keeps looking over at Yujiro and smiling a bit. By the time they have the after party, Aizou realizes he has no idea where Yujiro is and is, in his words, worried, though he tells himself he'll let Yujiro sleep if he's napping. He finds him and the two talk about the MV, before Aizou blurts out that he could never have done anything without Yujiro, and "hadn't meant to say that out loud". The two toast to their success.
In the epilogue, the two watch their new MV and run around the city together, and Aizou, watching after Yujiro, has a "soft expression" on his face, and chases after him. Bonus, a couple girls point out how cute they are when they run by.

Short stories 1/2

the whereabouts of the roast beef:
in this story, Aizou has a craving for meat and goes to buy some, but Kuro ends up eating all of it. He then on impulse went looking for a recipe and ended up making roast beef until 2:30 in the morning. Before putting it away for lunch, his first thought is to take a picture of it and send it to Yujiro, who instantly read the message. Some things happen (Ken stealing the roast beef and a very funny lunchtime for Aizou) so Aizou decides to try again. He brings the roast beef to work, and during his lunch break is excited to eat his roast beef when he discovers that Yujiro had stolen it and nearly finished it, minus the vegetables. Even after, Yujiro complains that the beef was dry (even though he basically finished all of it). Aizou also gets mad at Yujiro for not finishing the bento.two people at the school festival:
In this short story, Aizou and Yujiro are helping their class prepare a haunted house for the school festival. They are painting a wall, and start their usual bantering when Yujiro (who is the weaker) pushes Aizou over and both of them fall over. They then look at each other and say “Well, actually… The colors look pretty good…” “I know, right?” and their gazes meet and they laugh comfortably. Yujiro has a bit of inner thoughts, where he thinks "This is my daily life with my partner. Even with some arguments, we’re a combination that works together perfectly.// "Whenever they met face to face, they always fought each other. But even so, they were there for each other." Aizou then says, “Huhhhhh…. But still, you should apologize!” Aizou violently threw away the brush and grabbed Yuujirou’s shirt with both hands. “That’s for standing in my way! You’re ugly!”

This story is short content-wise and mostly just has Aizou's thoughts over Ken and his ownership of Kuro. Ken goes out for a school trip and Aizou is left to take Kuro with him when he travels for work. While in the waiting room, he sees Yujiro playing with Kuro. Aizou then calls Kuro a "dumpling mass" and "too round" and Yujiro defends Kuro, saying that "He's cute, so it's fine."Sakuragaoka Highschool’s Newspaper Extra: Interview:
In this short story, it is November and Yamamoto Koudai decides to interview Aizou and Yujiro for the Sakuragaoka newspaper. At first, he misses both of them and instead ends up interviewing Hiyori, who mentions how they usually don't eat lunch together and aren't always together or seen talking. She also says "There’s times where they have fun and cheer each other up when they’re feeling down!”//“In front of the fans… I’m not sure…”// “It may look like they don’t get along… but they like the same things.” Koudai then tries again the next day, first catching Aizou after some soccer. He talks to Aizou about the school festival and mentions how he wished he could see the production work , "Things like the chandelier, the mannequins or the hands on the walls" as the room had to be dimmed to draw attention away from Aizou and Yujiro. Aizou responded to this with a mumble (remember, in one of the previous short stories Aizou and Yujiro were working on painting those walls and hands on the walls together :) ). Koudai then asks where he can find Yujiro, and Aizou says that he's probably in the backyard. And Yujiro ends up being right where Aizou said he would be, staring at a flowerbed of yellow flowers. Koudai mentions how their season is over, and they should've wilted, yet they still were in bloom in. ". The season for these flowers was from summer til October. //their season was already over. (kinda remind you of some other resilient person with a yellow motif? the yellow flower motif will be once again brought back later, remember this for now ;)) Koudai then asks Yujiro if he had fun this year, and Yujiro looks ahead (this is an assumption, but the only thing next to them are the yellow flowers so....) and smiles softly.

Nonfantasy Novel and the Content

There is not much on them in this novel, as the novel primarily focuses on Hiyori and her adjusting to becoming the idol manager of LIPxLIP.
The novel was released December 2019.
In it, in chapter 2, Aizou and Yujiro have an argument over Yujiro's arrest, and Aizou ends up doing the kabedon on Yujiro against a tree.
Another point would be chapter 5, in which we are briefly taken away from Hiyori's point of view to Yujiro's. He repeatedly runs into Aizou while he's out, and eventually, the two of them give up and sit by each other at a cafe, and talk about many different things (which does include Hiyori's progress as their manager). Yujiro also asks Aizou for help to practice running for a school event, and the two work hard together, with Aizou consistently slowing down for Yujiro and slapping his back in encouragement. When Yujiro finishes the marathon for his school, Aizou is waiting for him and the two share a soft moment, with Aizou softly telling him "good job".

Heroine Development Plan Novel and Contents

Like Nonfantasy, there is not much to look at as it is focused on Hiyori and her pursuing her love interest Kaido Asuka, though there are some moments that hint that they might have their eyes on each other. The novel was released in January of 2020.
In chapter 4, when discussing how difficult Yujiro was to understand with Hiyori, Aizou's face goes soft when mentioning him. Maybe it's not much, but it is something of note.
I also want to make note of, in chapter 6, Hiyori is so overcome with joy that Aizou and Yujiro are helping her confess to Asuka that she hugs them. Aizou was hugged first and was stunned, and did not hug her back. And Yujiro flat out refused to let her hug him, holding his palm out against her face and having a "disgusted face". Bear with me, we will come back to that.
Finally, in the epilogue, when Aizou and Hiyori go to pick Yujiro up to take him to the shrines, Aizou seems to know exactly where Yujiro's room is from outside, despite claiming to have only been there once, and with no hesitation climbs the correct tree to his bedroom. After the three leave, Hiyori ends up mostly third wheeling them and following them, only being acknowledged to be teased by them.

Fantasia LOVE&KISS Novel and Contents

Fantasia LOVE&KISS is a novel that came out in November of 2022. It follows the MV plot and real-life actions of LIPxLIP in two separate stories.Since the two perspectives are alternated between, it isn't exactly clear if the fantasy sections are just a play or an actual alternate universe, but for the sake of easier reading the two will be separated.

In the real world, Aizou and Yujiro have been doing more separate jobs lately, and after Aizou has spicy ramen with Yui, he runs into Yujiro, who is walking his dog. The two sit down together and talk about their jobs and how their lives are going, which Yujiro confides that home has been rough lately. The next day they are surprised to find that Tamura wants them to do a musical play together as the protagonists. The two boys decide to go to a nearby cafe and talk about it, where Aizou shares his concerns about having never done a play before. Yujiro tells him that he believes Aizou can do it, and they decide to accept the offer. However, their first day of rehearsals (which was just doing a quick read through) ends in disaster as Okido (the director) yells at Aizou and humiliates him for being unprepared. However, Yujiro gets extremely pissed off at this and goes off on him, standing up for Aizou and demanding that Okido does his job as director.
The two get kicked out and their job threatened, but after discussing what happened with Tamura and Uchida, they decide to keep going. (Or, rather, Yujiro decides to keep going while Aizou reluctantly agrees so that Yujiro won't be alone). They begin to resume their job, but as time goes on, Aizou has been practically ignored at work while Yujiro gets yelled at everyday, which worries Aizou. He takes action by seeking his costars help on how to properly act, all while he continues to worry about how much Yujiro can endure. He even pleads with Yujiro to just give up after Yujiro was forced to practice the same scene for two full hours with no breaks. However, Yujiro refuses, but then tells Aizou that he doesn't have to do the play if he doesn't want to. Aizou ends up staying on board as well, and after realizing later that he can relate to his character, he has an epiphany and confirms with Yujiro that he can do this, which makes Yujiro laugh at how silly he looked.
Aizou decides to do an ad lib with his costar, and after it goes over well, Yujiro asks him how he came up with that, and Aizou only responds by saying he wanted to make it interesting. This amuses Yujiro and Aizou asks if they can practice together. After agreeing, Yujiro adds in that he's not doing Aizou's weird ad libs, which makes Aizou protest that he had a lot. Yujiro then asks if he's trying to woo his costars and that more rumors will start up, much to Aizou's chagin. After that, when practicing the same scene from before that Yujiro had to redo for two hours, there was no interruption. Yujiro asks Okido why that is, and Okido says "you don't know? until now, you were the only one on stage. But now, you have your partner by your side." Meaning that it's only because Aizou was by Yujiro's side that he was able to perform better. Aizou makes a joke about it, and Yujiro huffs out that he doesn't respect Aizou, leading Aizou to think "you're really not cute at all!"
Aizou practices his singing scene with Iv for a while after that, since he needed lessons to work on it. Meanwhile, watching Yujiro perform, Aizou has a THREE PAGE MONOLOGUE about how amazing Yujiro's acting is, about how he was in awe that he'll stand on stage as Yujiro's equal, and even thinking about how they began to truly lean on each other despite their fights. This makes him think about how Yujiro was always protecting their dream, and solidifies his resolve to never let Yujiro handle their emotional baggage alone.
After many more rehearsals, the day before the play begins, where one of his costars gives Aizou some candy, which Yujiro later snatches out of his hand. Aizou, however, only sighs and says "I can't let my guard down around you." And doesn't try to take them back. When practicing his singing scene, he does so well that everyone stops and stares at him, and even Yujiro smiles at him and applauds when he finishes.
All seemed to be going well, until Yujiro was walking up some ice props, and he drops his bow and collapses from lack of eating and sleeping. Aizou sees this and: ""Aizou’s eyes widened and he threw his rapier out of the way, before he jumped forward as fast as he could, skipping a few steps as he went. He managed to catch Yujiro just in time, but ended up stumbling and falling on his ass."". Manager Uchida asks if they're okay, and Yujiro tries to get up on his own, but he almost falls again, so Aizou helps him stand up by throwing an arm around his shoulder.
After Yujiro gets back from the hospital, Aizou asks him if he hasn't been eating, and upon finding out that Yujiro hasn't been taking care of himself, he blames himself for not watching over Yujiro as his partner better, and Tamura takes them all to a yakiniku place to eat.
The next day, after their premier, Aizou sits on the empty stage and Yujiro sits down next to him, where Yujiro compliments Aizou's ad libs and Aizou makes Yujiro laugh by proclaiming he's an entertainer. Afterwards, the two get into a discussion about Yujiro's past and how he never got to stand on stage as a kabuki actor, despite doing kabuki since he was a child. Yujiro then says that he once got to do a dance at a shrine (to which, Aizou asks "like a miko does?" and...Who else is a miko who is literally a parallel to Yujiro? Arisa! Shibarisa/Aiyuu parallels!) and asks Yujiro to dance for him, giving him a fan that Okido left behind. He even says "It's fine, isn't it? I'm here- I'm the only one watching" and sits in the front row of the audience seats while Yujiro dances for him. However, as Aizou is thinking about how amazing Yujiro is, they're interrupted by the director, manager, and other staff. Okido then says that he wants Aizou and Yujiro to play as Yoshitsune and Shizuka Gozen (who are a COUPLE in a play) and says that Yujiro would be a good Shizuka (the girl).
After briefly arguing over the characters, Aizou and Yujiro think about their next stage, looks at each other at the same time, and just start laughing without needing words.

Fantasia LOVE&KISS Novel
L&K (fantasy) universe segments

Yujiro and Aizou meet in an alley, and they see demons attacking a man. Yujiro was thinking of fleeing because there were too many, but Aizou rushes ahead and calls out for Yujiro to cover for him, which, Yujiro does, even though he complains that he hates soft-hearted idiots who don't use their head. After the man gets away, the two flee and Aizou grabs Yujiro, and jumps into a shallow river to get away from the demons. The man, an innkeeper, gives them a room to share and the next day, they go to an abandoned cathedral to find their way to the castle, where they believe and hope that the legendary jewel that will grant any wish is. However, they are intercepted by castle guards and Yujiro claims they're just traveling perfomers. The guards humor them and have them perform.
Yujiro plays on an organ while Aizou comes up with a song, and the two end up playing, dancing and singing together in a perfect harmony, able to make an impromptu performance. However, they still get apprehended after fighting the guards, and taken to jail, where Yujiro continues to complain "nothing good happens when I'm with you" to Aizou. They are visited by the princess's sister who begs them for help to save her sister and the kingdom and find out what happened to her father on some snowy mountains, and they agree in exchange for the jewel.
They sneak out with the second princess's help, and go back to the cathedral through a secret passage, where they find two horses. Yujiro, who had never ridden one, gets nervous, and Aizou Picks Yujiro Up and Puts him on one of the horses (like...a prince would for his bride? lol) and after the horse Yujiro is on takes off, Yujiro screams that he'll never forgive Aizou, who just smiles.
In the snowy mountains, while they're walking (as they had to let the horses go back alone), an avalanche comes after Aizou slips in ice. Yujiro doesn't hesitate to Push Aizou out of the way, and gets buried alive. If it wasn't for Aizou digging him out, he would have died. However, when Yujiro regains consciousness as Aizou carries him to safety, he sees that Aizou's hands were red, swollen, and his fingers are bloody, which leads him to realize that it was possible Aizou threw away his gloves to dig Yujiro out faster. (Yet, Aizou calls Yujiro "the soft-hearted one") When they reach a cave, Yujiro opens up to Aizou about how he doesnt remember anything from before he was 10 years old, and thinks how he wouldn't have told him, but he's scared of being forgotten, so he wants someone to be able to remember him. Aizou says the same thing happened to him, and the two sleep by the fire.
The next day, the spot a dragon flying and rush after it to slay it but its gone, but they do find the kings old sword, so they rush back to the cathedral to find their way back to the castle, but are apprehended. They refuse to be loyal to the evil princess, and eventually, the dragon appears and they fight it along with several demons. As Yujiro is about to get the kings old sword, he gets a severe bloody injury on his leg, and the second princess tosses it to Yujiro, who throws it to Aizou, who slays the dragon. The princess is restored to her usual self, and Yujiro collapses, the injury on his leg being too painful. Aizou then Picks Yujiro Up "like a princess" and sets him down, and lends him his shoulder again. They get their jewels that they were seeking and are thanked by the princesses.
Yujiro decides to rest up in the castle to let his leg injury heal, which took two full weeks. And, despite not being injured, Aizou stays too solely so he can wait with Yujiro. Yujiro tells the princesses he's leaving once he's healed enough to walk, and the next morning, when Yujiro leaves, he finds Aizou already waiting for him and decides to travel with Yujiro. Yujiro protests this but Aizou deliberately ignores him, and insists that he "doesn't want to travel with him either" but it made sense to, despite the fact that he probably planned on staying with Yujiro (otherwise he wouldn't have stayed in the castle for two weeks). The two are thanked by the innkeepers daughter, and they share a smile and think about how they'll always have hope.

Just some crumbs in other novelsWatashi, Idol Sengen
Chapter 2 has a small Aiyuu part, where Aizou asks Yujiro to lend him a CD and Yujiro refuses, the two arguing and "Aizo clenched his fists to suppress his frustration. “I’m gonna make you cry one of these days, and don’t you dare forget that!” “I’m tired of hearing those parting threats of yours, you know?” (Also Aizou thinks to himself that Yujiro is a "little minx" )
Chapter 4 mostly centers around Mona and her thoughts as she doubts herself, and though there is the rain scene where Aizou pushes an umbrella into her hands, it is revealed that Aizou mostly did it to clean up after his partner. He mentions his distaste for dealing with women, and also mentions not even remembering her name. "The image of the girl seated down amidst the falling rain surfaced in Aizo’s mind.//“…Everyone’s… like that, huh,” Aizo muttered softly to himself. Being knocked so far down that they no longer had the strength to stand on their own, while having no other choice but to continue to go up, moving step by step, to reach their goal of a higher place. Keep that image of someone being seated down amongst falling rain in mind for the next section :)

Kono Sekai no Tanoshimikata Movie/Novel

Kono Sekai no Tanoshimikata is a movie/novel that was announced on the August 2020 24 hour stream. It was released in theaters in December of 2020 and the novel following a day after.
If you have not seen the movie or read the novel and do not wish to be spoiled for it, this is your last warning.

Kono Sekai no Tanoshimikata Movie/Novel Content 1/2

After Aizou and Yujiro meet and President Tamura declare them an idol duo, the two do not get along at all. At first, they can't stand being in each other's presence. However, one day, Aizou decides to go visit Yujiro, and finds that his home situation is pretty rough, and starts feeling bad for him (it is raining. He sees a car drive out, and Yujiro runs after it, doing a full dogeza on the ground begging his stepfather to sign the consent form. His stepfather refuses, and drives off, Yujiro sitting their dejectedly, being splattered by mud and drenched by rain. Remind you of something? Keep in mind, LIPxLIP debuted way before Mona, makes you wonder if seeing Mona in the rain reminded Aizou of Yujiro...). So, the following day, after practice, Aizou takes Yujiro to his "secret spot" in the park, where the two practice, and have a deep discussion about Yujiro. Yujiro admits here that "all day, everyday" he did kabuki, and (paraphrasing here) he abandoned his childhood and social life to work on the dream. After assuring Yujiro that his time doing so was not a waste, he proceeds to climb on top of him.
Yujiro gets frustrated and the two continue their lessons.
Afterwards, they separate, and Yujiro realizes he forgot to give Aizou his towel back, and runs after him. He notices how Aizou and his alcoholic mother are, and solidifies his resolve to become an idol with him.
At home, he begs his father to allow him to become an idol, and when his younger stepbrother insults Aizou, Yujiro- who was shown to be meek around him as the Someya successor, grabs him and yells at him, defending Aizou.

Kono Sekai no Tanoshimikata Movie/Novel 2/2

Continuing where we left off, Aizou and Yujiro decide on the unit name LIPxLIP, and grow in popularity following their first commercial and the release of Romeo. One day, a girl all but ambushes Aizou, and while Yujiro does smooth things over, he ends up infuriated that she did that to him, swearing she's on his blacklist. Aizou, for his part, admits he's not good with girls, and Yujiro comforts him and gives him good advice on that.
After this, they get information on their first live show and are given tickets to invite their family. Things don't go so well for Aizou, and he ends up running away and tearing his tickets up. He goes missing for a day, and Yujiro figures he knows where to find him. He goes and finds him, where he lets Aizou vent about his family and how he can't sing anymore. Yujiro, after some very aggressive encouragement (and a punch), demands that he sings. Aizou tries, but fails. So Yujiro starts singing as well, and then Aizou is able to sing, and thinks "Why..? When I was alone, I couldn't do it, no matter how hard I tried".
On the night of the concert, Yujiro's mom has to bail on him, and Aizou notices Yujiro's upset and kabedons him and tilts his chin up to face him.
Mayu and Tamura come in and notice their kissmarks on their neck and ask them about it. Their response, "Secret" with a shared smile at each other, is proof they do each other's kissmark. (Note: It is shown in the Romeo MVM that the two explicitly kissed each others necks- their kissmarks. We will go over that in the next section :))
Also, remember I mentioned how Aizou and Yujiro refused to hug Hiyori? Well...in the movie/novel, they already hugged multiple times. Weird how they refuse to hug her, but they hug each other all the time.
During their concert, they perform Yume Fanfare and go about the moves that we all know and love, the chin tilt, the serenade pose, the side hug, everything. However, at the end, as the movie draws to a close, both Aizou and Yujiro begin a monologue together (which reflects upon their journey and their partner, and the events that have happened), that ends with them first looking at each other, then turning toward the camera and saying "I'm glad we met."

Romeo MVM

The Romeo MVM (movie making) is an animation released as an extra along with the LIPxLIP album Docchi no kiss ka, Erabe yo. It gives an in-universe view of the creation of the Romeo MV, and extra glimpses of Aizou and Yujiro's daily lives.
It starts off with the Romeo MV plot in animation form, but then switches to show the behind-the-scenes. There is a scene where Aizou is talking about Yujiro's switch being on, and how when it's off, he has "an adorable partner" (all while Yujiro is sleeping and leans over onto Aizou). There's another scene where Aizou's asked about Yujiro's talent as an idol, Aizou responding "Of course there is. This is my partner" and jokingly tells Yujiro (who didn't hear ) that he was badmouthing him, causing Yujiro to jump to cover Aizou's mouth, knocking the both of them over into a compromising position. There's also several other scenes, like one where Aizou takes the carrots Yujiro took out and puts them back in, one where Aizou playfully tackles Yujiro, one where Aizou throws Yujiro his water bottle (which makes the staff squeal about an indirect kiss ). However, none of these can compare to the absolute deathblow that happens near the end. We get a glimpse of a LIPxLIP live, and as the two are explaining their unit's name, they literally hold each other close and kiss each other's kiss marks on stage. Without a doubt, this is absolute proof that, yes, these smug assholes do the kissmarks themselves.
With that knowledge, if you do take a look at the sus images gallery, take notice of where several of the kissmarks are :).

Hitsuyou Fukaketsu

Now, before I start, I want to first make a note that LIPxLIP are idols, so of course, not all of their songs are going to be explicitly about them. Romeo, Fiance, Nonfantasy, Choco Kano, Judge, and so on are about them and their fans, after all.
But here, one of the early songs for them, the lyrics sing about how the two of them are each other's "halves" and tell each other "sometimes we fight, but that's just part of our love too, I love you/Please give me half of you"

Yume Fanfare

Honestly, if this song isn't the one that started it all. All of the shipping.
The song dives into Yujiro and Aizou's backstories a bit, and of course, they turn to each other- with Aizou directing "your color is so beautiful, it's like a flower coloring the world" to Yujiro.
While Yujiro directs the lyrics "your color is so amazing that it doesn't need a name, and is like a star illuminating the world" to Aizou.
Also Aizou chin tilts Yujiro, Yujiro hugs him, and the live show version gets gayer with Aizou hugging Yujiro from behind after tilting his chin up.Don't even get me started with how much Honeyworks likes to show this dance off. But heck, we'll talk more about that in the Herotaru section.

Tsuki no Hime

So this song has always been more of a theory, but there are too many coincidences for people to dismiss it as just another idol song.
In the MV Chiisana Lion, the song explicitly refers to Yujiro as the moon, and Aizou as the sun.
In Tsuki no Hime, the song is about a moon princess who knows nothing about the outside world, and a traveler.
Think back to the novels. Yujiro abandoned his childhood and knows nothing of the outside world, while Aizou stayed out a lot and sometimes didn't go home for days at a time.
Also Yujiro primarily sings the role of the moon princess, and Aizou sings the part of the traveler, and the traveler sings about the moon princess' wide eyes.
Yamako, in the FilmxLive pamphlet, in an interview about Aizou and Yujiro's designs, has gushed over how "large and cute" Yujiro's eyes were.
See what I mean?
But again, this is more just a theory, but we just find it too specific to dismiss it.

LOVE&KISS

The song itself is an MV focused on Aizou and Yujiro and their adventures out-of-universe. However, it's this one moment when the MV breaks to show them performing their song at a concert that I wanna point out.
Yujiro injures his ankle- and instead of doing a sensible thing, like offering a hand (as this would also be the most efficient, as they'd be able to get back to dancing quickly), Aizou picks Yujiro up in a bridal carry.

The Solo Songs
(Seika and Yellow)

There is no MV, but based on translations, some of the lyrics for Seika go as follow:
I met you so I was able to change.// There are those who need to be acknowledged, I felt it without saying anything, the things we hate are the same.// I thought it was normal for ones name to be written, adding one and one it exceeds over a hundred and becomes a thousand.// The things you're bad at, and places you lack, I'll be the one to make up for it all.// The flowers laugh, the flowers sing.
And then there is Aizou's, some of his lyrics go as follow:
Let's stop fighting and dance dance dance.// There are some people who need to be recognized. A lonely flower wilted by itself, I noticed it blooming beside me.// Step to the rhyme and dance with me.// The things I lack in, he makes up for.// Whenever I needed you, you were there for me, whenever I wanted to be acknowledged, you were there.// The blue and yellow flowers won't ever break even as a storm comes.// Don't lose to the things you hate, even if you look away we'll stand back to back.// Let's hold hands and sing of love.
...Yujiro's stage color is blue, and Aizou's is yellow. And as you saw in the previous section of the novels/movie, Yujiro is the one who is always there for Aizou.

Idol song crumbs

As mentioned earlier, LIPxLIP is ultimately an idol unit, so many of their songs will be about their Juliettas, their appreciation for them, and other common idol themes.Kono Sekai no Tanoshimikata: The MV itself is absolutely gorgeous, Yamako really went off. It shows a lot of their dynamic, both their idiotic sides and their soft sides. Also, the line "And we happened to meet" could be referring to them and their Juliettas but... it could be between both of them too.Rodeo: This MV is also a really good MV, done by Ryuusee (the artist known for doing art for SoraMafuUraSaka's game-themed songs!). In it, Aizou and Yujiro are literally ride or die gays partners. They literally sing "As long as you're here with me, I'll go anywhere"// "While we're together, we're the one ever-victorious rodeo boy"// "As long as you're here with me, I'll do anything."Koi Wo Shiyou: This one's more of a stretch but... pay attention to the lines each of them sing. Yujiro has the girl's and Aizou has the boy's. Not to mention, Yujiro does canonically know how to use makeup and Aizou is technically the more "cool" one...Judge☆ : This one's just them arguing over who's the more perfect guy but... its one of my favorites so you should still go listen to it it's so catchy (banter as a song? hell yea)Yappa Saikyou!: The MV lightly touches on their backstories, mainly focused on their rise to fame and their drive to surpass their rivals. It shows plenty of shots of their overall dynamic, like how Aizou is the more athletic and fit dancer while Yujiro is the more experienced singer. There's also a really cute image of Aizou doing a handstand and making Yujiro laugh :). Also the lines "It’s only natural that there are things you're bad at// We’re only human, after all// But someday you'll meet a friend who will be there to help you" (mom the boys are singing about each other again)

Samishigariya

If you only have time to watch one MV, PLEASE WATCH THIS ONE. IT IS IMPORTANT. Life-changing, even.

Yes, I saved the best for last, the proof without a doubt if you are not convinced that Aiyuu goes deep.
The song is about Ken and Aizou, being lonely and having a rotten relationship, until their respective "most important person" comes along. For Ken, it's his girlfriend Arisa. And for Aizou...it's Yujiro.
Aizou even sings, "I finally know of love" (愛を知る)
Also, it directly parallels Ken and Arisa, who are a canon couple. Why make the parallel a couple at all if they don't feel romantic attraction to each other?
This is evidence that no one is more special than Yujiro to Aizou, and the song, given Yujiro's very soft smile towards him, implies Yujiro feels the exact same way. When Ken says "congratulations" at the end once more, what else could it be but congratulating Aizou for finding someone as important to Aizou as Arisa is to Ken?
Take lots of note of the cat imagery, too. Both Yujiro and Arisa are compared to cats, physical versions of these appearing in the MV with moments where they very clearly turn into those cats (Arisa becoming Kuro, with the same hair color and eyes... and Yujiro becoming the new cat with blue fur and a crooked bang pattern). If those two are cats, what are Aizou and Ken? Well, what if I told you that canonically, both Aizou and Ken are compared to dogs in this MV? (Yamako herself mentioned that the hat and hoodie the shibasakis are wearing are a DOG hat and hoodie. like. im not even joking.)
It is also important to note that this song is classified as a Love Series song, thus tying Aizou (and by extent, Yujiro) officially into the Love Series.

Story 1: The Halloween Event

Trick or Treat!
_{The Essential Battle of LIPxLIP}

What is Hanipre? It is short for Honeyworks Premium Live. The rhythm and gacha game came out in November of 2020. And it just so happens that the first story of the game was Aiyuu.
Yujiro and Aizou are having a halloween live show, and they both want the vampire costume out of that or the pumpkin. Since they can't come to an agreement, they have a dance competition, which Yujiro is not confident in as Aizou's the better dancer. As they practice their dance, Aizou gets the dance down and notices Yujiro struggling with a part, and when it's time to go home, Yujiro refuses to leave, and mutters how he doesn't care about the costume anymore, he just wants to get the dance moves down.
So Aizou, despite it being a competition, stays with Yujiro until dawn helping him learn the dance moves and, during the competition, he admits (to himself) that he'd been so busy thinking about Yujiro that he was watching him to make sure he was doing fine and messed up his own, which caused him to lose.
But in his words, it was "worth it" because Yujiro got the dance perfect.
On Yujiro's side, he finds out through eavesdropping that the competition had been a set up to get them to work together, and he blackmails Hiyori and Uchida Mayu (the manager) into giving Aizou a cool costume, where he later repeatedly asks Aizou if he thought the costume was cool.
(Bonus: Aizou says the costume is his favorite ever)

Story 2: The White Day Event

Gifts with Hidden Feelings

Yujiro and Aizou cannot decide what to give their fans at their white day live, and argue about it- candy or flowers. In the end, Yujiro says something very hurtful to Aizou, and Aizou leaves him alone. Yujiro immediately feels guilty right after, and after some urging from Hiyori, he attempts to apologize, but can't do it, so he flees. Mona ends up inadvertently helping him by saying she's buying a gift to apologize to her sister for something, and it gives Yujiro the idea to do the same for Aizou, and gets him some pocky to reminiscence their first commercial job.
It turns out, Yujiro does manage to get them to give out candy flowers to their Julietta ( stating that "Suzumi's right, if I earnestly want to do something, Aizou would listen to me." )
After their live show, Yujiro presents the box of pocky to Aizou, and Aizou gladly accepts and forgives Yujiro (and notices Yujiro's tiny handwriting at the bottom on the back spelling out "thank you") and he softly thanks Yujiro for the gift. The two laugh together and Yujiro thinks to himself, "This white day was special to me, and I hope it was special to Aizou too..."(also... in the epilogue a few days have passed and Aizou still has the box of unopened pocky, and thinks to himself : I should eat them soon but I wonder why I’m unable to do so. )

What Those Eyes are Gazing Upon: Yujiro's solo event, in it Yujiro and Aizou receive news that they are to record their solo songs for the upcoming anniversary. Yujiro overhears some staff talk about him and how Mona and Minami are growing fast, and feels a sudden need to try even harder. Though he is the more musicly adept of the two, Yujiro has to do a re-recording , also visibly pushing himself in their dance lessons (with a worried Aizou in the background). Aizou drags Yujiro to their secret spot, and his words help pull Yujiro out of the state he is in and finally get a good solo recording (the bloomed scene card is therefore, Yujiro looking back at Aizou during this conversation :) ). The event story ends in the epilogue, where Aizou is struggling with his singing, and Yujiro offers his help, which directly leads to the next event story.What Only I Can Do: Aizou's solo event, a direct sequel to Yujiro's. It starts off with Yujiro coaching Aizou (in a very tsun way). Yujiro ends up lecturing Aizou about his skills, and in turn causes Aizou to start thinking "But I’m not you", feeling a sense of inadequacy. This feeling is multiplied ten-fold when the two have an interview and the interviewer asks about their families, Aizou freezing up while Yujiro easily answers. Yujiro confronts him about this after the interview, leaving Aizou still in the same state. Aizou is still down, and thinks about how, even school-wise, he can't compare to Yujiro ( who mentions that he is worried for Aizou and won't forgive him if he has to take supplementary lessons. tsun af). On the day of Aizou's re-recording, Yujiro comes along. At first, the re-recording doesn't go well, and Yujiro lectures Aizou. Aizou finally snaps and voices his inner feelings, saying how he'll never measure up to Yujiro. Yujiro tells him that he'll never be able to imitate him, they're different people, but just being "Aizou" of LIPxLIP is sufficient enough. With that, Aizou finally realizes that he was overthinking everything, and finally is able to finish his recording. (And in the epilogue he asks for help on the homework, Yujiro responding "Absolutely not.")

Story 5: The New Years Event

New Year Festival!

Aizou is offered a job on a variety TV show, but he is hesitant on accepting because he is unsure about doing anything without Yujiro. He mulls it over, and when walking with Yujiro, he trips. Yujiro extends a hand to him and it turns out he already knows about the job, and is fine with him doing a solo job, and Aizou accepts it.
On the day of, Yujiro decides to visit Aizou in the dressing room (Aizou:Is Yujiro worried about me?) and while he's there, Aizou gets news that his stylist can't make it, so Aizou cannot put his kimono hakama on (as he has never put one on before) so Yujiro tells him to get undressed, and he helps him put it on which...visibly flusters Aizou.
On stage, Aizou admits "Yujiro...is a huge presence to me." and has him come up on the stage. (Where they tease each other...or, well, Yujiro teases Aizou)
Afterwards, Hiyori tells them that the audience reaction was that their "hearts pounded when they saw how close the two of them were".
(Bonus: It is also revealed in the epilogue that Yujiro was told by Hiyori that only his words would get through to Aizou, and when Aizou trips, Yujiro thinks to himself how Aizou is his (albeit somewhat unreliable) only partner).

Story 6: The Valentines Event

A Moment Sweeter Than Chocolate

It's time for Yujiro to get a solo job, this time an interview and photoshoot with a magazine. The theme of the interview is around romance, and though Yujiro admits he is bad at those things he accepts the offer and has to prepare a questionnaire with questions prior to the interview itself. He fills it out, but Hiyori and Aizou both read it and agree that the answers are just Yujiro answering what he thinks people want to hear instead of answering truthfully. Hiyori and Aizou then conclude that Yujiro has no real love experience. Later after work, Yujiro attempts the questionnaire again, and Aizou asks Yujiro for his ideal date. He then realizes Yujiro only wants a person that is convenient to him. Yujiro then asks Aizou if he has love experience, Aizou saying no, but off-handedly mentioning Ken without naming him, saying how Ken used to be but has changed because of Arisa (he didn't mention any of their names or that Ken was his brother).
The next day, Yujiro is out watching couples and thinks to himself "I wonder if I'll be like them one day... no way. People are troublesome, being with my dog is more fun." He goes to get a crepe and while in line sees a couple arguing in front of him. Yujiro observes them, and sees their argument be resolved as the two agree to discuss things together and communicate. At the interview, Yujiro admits he hasn't had any actual love experience, but mentions the couple he had seen at the crepe stand, saying that that was the type of relationship he'd want if he ever fell in love. (It is important to note that that mysterious couple was none other than Ken and Arisa. Yujiro does not know nor recognize either of them. Aiyuu Shibarisa parallels.....)
On the day of the Valentine's Live, Yujiro and Aizou are bantering and drop the "You're not cute" and "I don't want to be thought of as cute by you, Aizou" lines, after which Yujiro thinks back to how the interviewer mentioned after the interview "you may not have someone to love yet, but you have a really good partnership with Aizou."
In the epilogue, it is revealed that despite not having anything to do with it, Aizou still went and read the magazine. He mentions that he liked the story about the couple, and Yujiro replies with how the boyfriend reminded him of Aizou, Aizou disagreeing. Yujiro then thinks to himself how the boyfriend really was similar to Aizou, and remembers how the girlfriend had called him "Shibasaki" but puts it off as a coincidence (Yujiro you sweet dumb idiot).

Story 7: The Kyoto Trip Event

AKA the event that drove aiyuu likers insane. Sorry that it's so long i literally can't cut anything out

The two boys are told that they are to go to Kyoto together and take photos for a private photo book, no staff accompanying them at all. On the shinkansen, Yujiro sleeps so that he doesn't have to speak to Aizou. When they arrive at the station, Yujiro, who is still sleepy from the train, stumbles. Aizou catches him, and they banter for a bit before heading to the inn. Yujiro noticed that Aizou seemed to be looking for something, but Aizou brushes it off as nothing. At the inn, the two run into Mona, who is surprised to see the two together and asks if they'll be ok. Aizou then reveals that he had prepared a guide to not fighting, along with a very detailed itinerary for them both, one that barely left any room for resting. They get to their room, and Aizou goes out into the hall to make a call to Hiyori. Yujiro doubts this, and eavesdrops on Aizou, hearing something about something not being turned in.
After some small arguments, the two head over to an aquarium. The two laugh together as they compare Hiyori to various sea creatures, like a giant salamander. Yujiro then realizes he's smiling normally, and wonders exactly why, even though this trip was just for work (rolls my eyes). He then notices 4 fish, 2 big ones and 2 small ones, swimming together. Aizou voices out the exact same thoughts, mentioning how they look like a family (in which yujiro thinks about how similar they are in this weird way).
They have a soft moment, where Aizou reminisces about his family and Yujiro just listens. Aizou then brushes it off, and is ready to head back to rest for the next day. Yujiro, however, tells Aizou to go back first because he wanted to look at the fish without Aizou's noisiness. Frustrated, Aizou does so, thinking that even if they were unit partners, he still has no idea what Yujiro is thinking (and that "to Yujirou... I'm just a person of the same unit..."). Back at the aquarium, Yujiro thinks back to earlier events, when Aizou was being strange. He decides to go look, thinking "If Aizou has this sullen look in our photobook, our Julietta won't like it"// "This is for LipxLip, it's not for Aizou..."
Several hours later, it is late at night and Yujiro is still not back yet. Aizou is visibly worried, and runs into Mona. He talks with her and she tells him to call his staff. Aizou goes back to his room and calls Hiyori, telling her about Yujiro, thinking that Yujiro went back to Tokyo without him because he hated traveling with Aizou that much. Hiyori tells him that she'll try to contact Yujiro and then the president, and then tells him to stay in the room, Aizou complaining that "I'm here, shouldn't I go look?"
Aizou then spends several moments thinking about what could've happened, thinking his partner could've gotten into an accident, but then shakes it off and tells himself to stop thinking like that, and that Yujiro is stronger than him. He then decides to look around just in the small area, when Yujiro finally walks back in, tired and just wanting to sleep.
They fight, and in anger Aizou stomps off into the hall. As he's stewing in his anger, he suddenly wonders why he's feeling this emotional and angry of Yujiro just returning late at night. He runs into mona again, who makes him realize that he was worried for Yujiro. Mona teases him for this (with Aizou mentioning that he never thought he'd be worried for Yujiro).
Aizou reveals that the whole guide to not fighting and big itinerary was made because he had heard from Hiyori that Yujiro had never been on a family trip. "Because I wanted to make good memories with him…"
However, Mona makes him realize that inherently, though he had good intentions, it was selfish of him to completely plan a trip without any of Yujiro's feedback. Aizou decides to talk with Yujiro the next day, and goes back to the room, finding Yujiro still awake ("Don’t tell me, he was waiting for me? Nah, Yujiro wouldn’t do such a thing). Yujiro tells him several places that he wants to go, and the two go to sleep.
The next day, the two are at a cafe (one of Yujiro's suggestions), where Aizou is watching Yujiro eat all kinds of sweets. They then go to a kimono store, where Aizou recalls the newyears event ( and the gay ass moment go off i guess ?????) and mentions how he'd like to try a live in traditional clothing one day. The two continue on with their trip, visiting various places and taking photos (with a funny interaction that goes:

Aizou: Ha?!! But this sign says "Please do not feed the wild animals????!")
After a chance encounter with Minami, and Yujiro being disappointed because a cafe was too crowded, the two end up talking about the future and what they want, Aizou thinking that talking about the future with Yujiro excites him, and that for some reason he knows that with Yujiro, what they want for the future can become true.
As the sun is setting, the two head to the stage at Kiyomizu. After some bantering, Yujiro reveals that he had gone and found what Aizou had lost back on the first day, a kumamaru phone strap from his mom, and that was the reason that he had gotten back so late. Yujiro mentions how he had done it because it might've been his fault in the first place, back when Aizou caught him when he stumbled (But then thinks about how Aizou wouldn't blame him). Yujiro tells Aizou how "Family isn't the only bond that there is." (while also thinking how "if it's aizou, im sure i can reach that future I'm aiming for"), "The view from kiyomizu, and the view from standing next to Aizou, I think both of them have the same nice view. I also think that I can make it a better view. I think it's ok to call that a bond."
Aizou then says "I feel like if it was you and me, we can keep going (regarding their goals as LIPxLIP)." To which Yujiro responds "Strange, I was thinking the same thing."
The two are later walking together, when Aizou recalls the bond speech and Yujiro, in true Yujiro fashion, is embarrassed and wants Aizou to forget it, trying to change the subject. Aizou doesn't forget, but also wholeheartedly thanks Yujiro for finding the phone strap. Yujiro thinks about how the trip was actually fun, but also in true Yujiro fashion refuses to voice it aloud, poking fun at Aizou. Aizou is about to retort, when he suddenly states that he is not going to argue anymore. He then outright says how he was glad that he went on this trip with Yujiro, and that he enjoyed it. He then turns back to Yujiro and smiles (the Aizou 5 star bloomed card!) and says "Let's go home, to Tokyo. We have a lot to talk about when we get back. Let's do our best in Tokyo together!", Yujiro thinking in response, "Even though I don't say it outright... I feel the same."In the epilogue, it's revealed that the two weren't alone and instead had staff secretly filming them for most of the trip. They both are pretty embarrassed, Aizou blushing about the hallway conversation with mona being caught on film, and Yujiro trying to tell everyone that when he was looking for Aizou's phone strap, "It… wasn’t for Aizo’s sake or anything. I just so happened to find it while doing my sightseeing in front of the station…". (to which Hiyori responds that he was seen asking lots of people around him while searching). The event finally ends with Aizou begging for the footage not to be shown, and Yujiro thinking once more that this trip was fun, but definitely never telling Aizou that it was all thanks to him.

LIPxLIP official twitter

LIPxLIP has an official twitter where they announce new things and events. As it's obviously catered toward the fans, it's more of a professional account with official HoneyWorks news and whatnot. However, occasionally posts are made in the perspective of Aizou or Yujiro (or both of them) and there are in fact some pretty suspicious content.There was an event a while back where the two would accept questions the fans would ask and answer some of them, an unofficial english translation of all of them being located [here]. We learn a lot about both of the two. I really suggest checking the whole thing out, it's pretty short, but I'll list some of the more important ones.The common view of Yujiro being the more introverted vs Aizou being the more extroverted is confirmed canon. Aizou is good at math, while Yujiro is good at literature ( a common belief held by several cultures is that boys are good at math and girls are better at literature...). Aizou would give Yujiro cake for Christmas while Yujiro would give him a "cute hair tie ;)" ( not to mention... Christmas is like a second Valentines in Japan. Why did they answer this question specifically ???). When asked what animal their partner resembles, Aizou answered " A cat?" while Yujiro answered "A big dog..." (in which it is important to note that Aizou prefers cats over dogs while Yujiro prefers dogs over cats. Yujiro being a cat... remind you of something? Maybe... Samishigariya? Aiyuu canon. /j)
Finally, when asked "What do you want your unit partner to fix about themselves?" Aizou said that he wants Yujiro to "be more honest" while Yujiro said that he wants Aizou to "mind his own business .-. " (Yujiro bb please open up he wants you to rely on him).There isn't much other twitter content besides that, but there was a more recent post in Aizou's perspective posted as part of the HoneyWorks Premium Live 2021 live event. [This is the post]. It roughly translates to Aizou mentioning entering the dressing room and finding new goods (merch?), Yujiro already in there with a hairclip attached by their make-up artist.

radio/voice dramas

As with the previous section, these are also a very good read. I will summarize some of the more important/ short ones though.-New Album Tokuten ft Hiyori-Cheki voice drama : in which Aizou and Yujiro (in a kimono) show up to the same shrine for the New Year's shrine visit. They talk about the movie and move to make their wishes at the shrine (They never mention what they wish for). Yujiro sees omikuji and despite Aizou's protests they draw their fortunes. Aizou gets "Curse" while Yujiro gets "Great blessing". They check what's written besides their fortunes, and for Aizou it says "to raise your luck, respond to the person who supports you with your feelings of gratitude. " while Yujiro's says "it’s even better to share the happiness. And that's basically most of the canon content given and why we ship Aiyuu :)
This is nowhere near to the end, as Honeyworks is still actively building their story (e.g. Heroine Tarumono anime), so we will still hold out hope for Aiyuu canon!!!
